Mickey Espino

Artist Statement

Hi, I’m Mickey Espino, a contemporary artist and psychology researcher inspired by the philosophy of Kintsugi. My work captures the beauty in brokenness, imperfection and impermanence. As part of my Master’s in Psychology, I’m currently researching Kintsugi’s therapeutic benefits. Drawing from personal experiences and real stories of healing, my art invites reflection, connection, and transformation. Exhibited across New Zealand, my practice explores art as a meaningful tool for emotional insight and psychological well-being.
